Nope, even with the swap file it crashed...
Alright, I made a 10.3 GB swap file since I had some crazy unallocated space, let's see what happens!
I had the task manager of LXDE open for a while to see if it was memory, and the system crashed even when less than 1 GB of RAM was being used. I'm not sure if it's memory or not.
No, but I have 16GB of RAM.

It did not work. My computer crashed again. I have a feeling that it is Deluge causing the problem, so I'll try a different torrent client for now and see if it helps.
I went ahead and skimmed through the article and I have to disagree with you here. People use Skype to chat through IM all of the time. And, even on the extreme off chance they record every...
nvidia-current worked. I'll let you know if I experience any more instability. Thank you for your help so far.
Are you sure? It installed xserver-xorg-video-intel that's only 266 kb. Maybe it's trying to install drivers for my internal?
Do you know the name of the package I should install once I have the PPA added?
Thanks, I will try that and let you know.
Have you tried this page?: http://askubuntu.com/questions/67382/add-custom-command-in-the-open-with-dialog
Sorry, didn't read the whole topic haha. Looks like Epodx64 has you covered.
Opera isn't even an installation candidate. If it is installed it's a different package.
snowtiger@snowtiger:~$ sudo apt-get install opera

Hey guys,
I am not sure what information I can give you, but tell you exactly what is happening when my computer crashes/freezes:
A lot of the time I can just be running Chromium and the...
I just installed LibreOffice to see what you meant by the Window tab and that does not really give a desired effect. After Googling for a bit, it doesn't look like there is a way to do this right now.
Indeed I did notice that he said Ubuntu. Sometimes I just say Ubuntu though because more people are familiar with it and get scared when they see other flavors of it because they aren't as familiar...
Okay, please let me know how it goes.
Could you just reset the CMOS, or go into the BIOS and reset everything to default and see if that message appears still?

I guess, but OP has lubuntu listed next to the topic...
I'm not OP, but LibreOffice did not come pre-installed for me in Lubuntu 12.04.
I had some trouble as well. Do you have a UEFI motherboard by any chance?
For your setup I would definitely recommend Lubuntu. It worked flawlessly with my PC from 2008. It's specs included:
256MB Radeon X1300
2GB Ram
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.0GHz (might have been even...
