I did a clean install of ubuntu 9.04, and tried to compile the newest linuxant driver for HSF modem (replaced by /modules/imported from Dell OEM driver).
The result: I still get the error message...
for your information, other things that i tried till now:
1. replacing the /modules/imported directory of the latest linuxant driver (hsfmodem-7.80.02.04full.tar.gz) with that of Dell OEM driver...
