Here is your problem!! Elantech driver is in 2.6.35 kernel!! You have to install it, follow my guide!! :)

Ok, I'm officially an IDIOT!! 2.6.35 kernel is NOT in guiodic-lucid repo BUT in guiodic-best-intel repo!! :mad::mad::mad:


sudo add-apt-repository ppa:guido-iodice/best-intel

Now you will find...

Try to manually delete guiodic repo from source manager then add it again:


sudo add-apt-repository ppa:guido-iodice/guiodiclucid

Then if you run update-manager you should get directly update...

You don't need to specify kernel version with guiodic repo, now it contains all metapackages you need to get auto-updates for latest kernel, follow my #110 post:


sudo apt-get update && sudo...

Guiodic repo contains latest kernel and some lucid updates at maverick development stage, ie new software center, new volume indicator applet, new calculator....

You can download 2.6.35 kernel...
