Ubuntu Trusty seems to have dropped some required packages for installing IBM Lotus Notes. The main package that is missing is libgnomeprint-ui.
How will i know the reason why this...

Hi, i am also experiencing all the above problems with HP Pavillion DV4-3015tx.
The trackpad issue is still a headache for me. Really getting mad of these issues.

My suggestion is that try booting/running ubuntu from a USB Pendrive ...Because it will show you the performance of the machine close to how it will be after install..CDROM's will be slower than USB...

Cheese webcam booth is a software that makes you to use ur webcam :p
what does the lsusb command show??

The mass storage emulation will be somewhere in the boot configuration.Hope you will find it out :KS

Its because you are using an Intel Desktop Board (seen this problem with intel 945GCP boards). All you have to do is to get into the BIOS setup and find something like "Mass storage emulation" it...
