Oh, even weirder:
Embedded YouTube videos on other sites work - it's only when actually on youtube.com that there's a problem.
Hulu works fine.

Okay, is there a word for "driver is displeased" then? :P
No, nothing out of the ordinary on reboot.
A couple of weeks ago, I started getting what I think are kernel panics when I visit YouTube. Immediately when the video loads, the display goes bonkers, with multicolored pixel noise at the top of...
For whatever reason Ubuntu is incorrectly guessing the type of file this is, and attempting to open it in GEdit (a text editor). What you want to be doing is actually running this installer as a...

You probably need to toggle it on with one of the Function hotkeys.
You could do that, yes. Previous versions can be found on http://releases.ubuntu.com/
Is it possible to order a spare AC adapter / power supply for a first-generation Meerkat nettop (ment1)? If so, what would be the price and shipping (US), and how would one go about doing so?

They have a .deb available, but it doesn't play nicely with the MySQL packages yet. There hasn't been any significant motion on this recently, but you can probably look forward to it by the next LTS...
I've had this occasionally on my panp7 as well. For me, just lifting my finger totally off the touchpad for a moment resolves it. I'd also tend to agree with the last poster that it seems to happen...
The advice I've always followed is a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water, applied to a lint-free cloth (not directly to the surface), and then clean with gentle, circular motions. Additionally,...
My dad works in the commercial graphics division of 3M, and he thought they might have a film product that would work for this if System76 is interested. It would be a factory-applied sort of...
I have a panp7 with the i7-840QM. I've noticed that at idle the CPU is clocked at 1.20 GHz (64% max). Is it possible to change that to allow it to reduce clock speed further, for better battery...
Yay!
Found this in an old thread - turned out to be correct:
.pl is Perl, not Python.
I'm running Ubuntu Server 10.04 on a first-generation Meerkat. It seems like the CPU fan always runs at top speed, and I'd like to change that. With the 2.6.32 kernel I am able to get CPU...
Spare / replacement batteries for the first-generation Lemur are available on http://www.system76.com/product_info.php?cPath=30&products_id=68 . I would assume that ones for the second-gen either...

1500VA, 865W, choice of RS232 or USB connection, approximated sinewave. Seems to do the trick pretty well for...
You'll be perfectly safe. The show-stopper types of issues reported with SSDs applied to early ones on the market, and have since been fixed by any manufacturer worth their salt. There may be...
