12.10 install freeze

While installing 12.10 via usb flash drive after clicking continue on the preparing to install ubuntu steep it has the busy mouse sign and has been this way for 15 min. i have no idea whats wron

Without any detail we don't have an idea either.
- What is your hardware configuration?
- Did you verify the checksum of the downloaded iso?
- How did you create the liveCD usb flash drive?
- Network connection (wired or wireless) available during installation?

i dont know what a checksum is, wireless, and i used universal usb creator from pendrivelinux.com

How To MD5SUM

Had a similar problem when selecting to install at the first screen.
Successfully installed by selecting try, and once the live session was loaded clicked on the desktop install icon.

I also elected to not download updates or in stall proprietary applications
in the install process.

I am here because I have the same problem trying to install 12.10 using the live CD.
Going to try one of stinkeye's suggestions.
